Cancer Center Project
The following is an outline of a project I helped create at the Cancer Center. This project process outline indicates the start to finish efforts put into creating a nutritional/ comfort basket for the patients attending doctors appointments or receiving chemotherapy or infusions. With past courses I have taken at URI I reflected on how to communicate efficiently with others, understanding the differences between departments and finding ways to interact with them effectively, and being creative and flexible with the ideas with this project. When in treatments, patients may not be getting the proper nutrition they need that they are losing through either lost of appetite, the loss of taste, inflammation in the throat, and more that is caused by treatment. The snacks provided are beneficial to the lost nutrients and the hope is to allow comfort and energy to them. I was able to learn what foods are either harmful or beneficial to a patients health.
This outline shows the process behind starting a new project to a large facility and the efforts one needs to put into communication and getting the products.
The outline included will go into more detail of the steps that I took throughout the process. The outline is a guide into the efforts put into the project.
